Things take a turn for the weird this week when Emily’s living arrangements bring her to a familiar place.
Here is our recap of tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars:
The Mirror Has Three Faces recap:
Home Sweet Home
Mrs. DiLaurentis offers to allow Emily and her mom to stay with her until their home is fixed. Emily’s mom is out of town so, at the encouragement of her friends, Emily takes her up on the offer. She has kept Alison’s room exactly like it was so the whole thing is pretty creepy.
Mrs. D is having her own problems when she learns her husband is divorcing her. Is there more to that story?
Hanna tries to visit Emily in Ali’s room and finds the place empty. Well, almost. There’s an extremely creepy figure in a red coat and an Ali mask watching her from the hallway! Nightmares. I can’t wait for someone to knock that bitch down and find out once and for all who she is. Although, unfortunately, it’s looking more and more likely that it’s CeCe.
ABCeCe
Caleb is tracking down an address in Philly that may or may not belong to CeCe Drake. When Aria goes to investigate, she learns from an old roommate that CeCe was kicked out of college for an incident at a frat party. Could it be THE frat party? The one that all five of the girls were at when another girl was mysteriously thrown down the stairs? Does this mean CeCe was blamed for it and now she blames all the girls? Could this be her motivation for being Red Coat? If it is, WHAT A SNOOZE FEST. No one cares about CeCe.
Unless she’s going to turn out to be Alison’s sister or something. That could be a way of getting around going the twin route we all know and hope is coming.
Mrs. D remembers a time that CeCe dressed up as Alison to play a mean prank on her parents. Their relationship was toxic and they were equally evil and liked to swap personalities. Sisters behave like that…
A New Member of the A Team?
Mona is back in Radley and she’s not getting many visitors. Hanna wants to see her but Caleb puts his foot down. He wants her to go to the cops or a lawyer and even tries to do it for her. The only one chatting with Mona right now is Wren. She doesn’t seem to like him since she discovered “Where his loyalties lied.” Uhoh. That doesn’t sound good for our resident Dr. Beautiful.
When Wren discovers a young blonde tried to visit Mona and it wasn’t Hanna, he calls a mysterious person on the phone and says “We have a problem.” I
s he talking to the A Team? He tries to warn Veronica about Mona’s intentions and she goes to visit Mona to threaten her ass into submission. The next day, an anonymous tip gets Veronica removed from Ashley’s case. Flash to Wren, happily chatting on the phone while drawing a red coat on somebody. DUN DUN DUN.
Loose Ends
Toby receives a package from A. It’s the sheet music his mom used to play. He and Spencer go to visit Dr. Palmer and don’t get much out of him. I still don’t care about this plot.
Aria makes out with Jake on a stoop while eating a burrito. That’s pretty much it. Poor Lucy. Her storylines are such crap.
In a twist even I didn’t see coming: Ezra is not the father of Malcolm. WHAT. Someone call Maury! He’s heartbroken and he cries a little. I can’t tell if the tears are from loving a child that isn’t his or having to look at Maggie’s bowl-cut for more than 5 seconds.
The best part about this is Ezra’s eyes. They look enraged. And crazy. Will this be the moment that causes Ezra to snap and be the serial killer I know he’s destined to be? Here’s hoping!
Mrs. D and Emily discover that someone has been living in the basement for quite some time. What Mrs. D doesn’t see is Emily discovering holes poked into the ceiling, presumably used to spy on the living room. Who would do that?
