With Justin Timberlake hosting the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, you hoped that the writers would wake up and bring out their good material. And they did. For the most part. A good 80-85% of the episode had me laughing out loud and that’s a great percentage in a season that’s been pretty lackluster. Although the episode relied heavily on veteran appearances from comedy legends Tom Hanks, Martin Short, Dan Akroyd, Steve Martin, Candice Bergen, Alec Baldwin, and Chevy Chase, most fans were so happy to see the show have so much energy that they didn’t care if there was wasted potential. I admit, I’m one of them. I was thrilled to see Andy Samberg reunite with his Dick In A Box buddy but was left confused that they didn’t participate in a more hilarious musical number. I kind of wished Andy hadn’t used his Digital Short return on Adam Levine.
That being said, the night was full of some hilarious sketches including the return of Stefon. Here are the videos of our favorites from last night’s SNL:
Five Timers Club
This is the star studded sketch everyone was talking about last night when they weren’t talking about Stefon. With this hosting gig being his 5th, Justin was inducted into the prestigious Five Timers Club, just like many before him, including Tom Hanks. It makes me sad that half that audience probably had no idea who The Three Amigos were.
It’s A Date
Featuring the surprise return of The Festrunk Brothers and The Dick in a Box guys.
Nuva Ring
This was an hilarious all girls sketch about glamming up your birth control.
And, of course, the return of Stefon.
Last but not least, Justin brought it on down to Veganville last night.
Justin Timberlake – Bring It On Down 2… by IdolxMuzic
What was your favorite?
After a couple of dud episodes, are you ready for SNL to hopefully bring back the laughs? With Justin Timberlake returning as a host and musical guest this Saturday, the odds are high for not only the laughs to be brought back..but also sexy. Come on .That joke was too easy. But here’s hoping. I can’t imagine how long the standby line for this week’s episode will be.

Kevin Hart hosted Saturday Night Live this week and the reviews are mixed. Some said it was the funniest episode in awhile, while others said it was an episode full of mediocre, badly written jokes consistent with the rest of the season. I have to say some of the sketches were just random and not well done at all. I didn’t laugh much and I’m pretty sure he reused some of his material for his monologue. That being said, there were a few skits that gave us a chuckle.

How do you think Kevin did as a host? We give him silver eagles for trying.
Dove Chocolate Ad Voiceover
Shoutout to Bill Hader not giving in to his giggles.
The Walking Dead
Z Shirt
Easily the funniest of the night. It was so random and made me think it would be right at home on an episode of Kenan and Kel.
It’s safe to say that Justin Timberlake has been a fan favorite every time he appears on Saturday Night Live. Between his music sketches with Andy Samberg to his hilarious comedic timing, he always seemed like a perfect fit. Like if he wasn’t already famous, he would probably be a cast member. So it makes perfect sense that Justin would be returning to SNL on March 9th as both a host and musical guest. Something tells me this episode will be much more satisfactory than when Justin Bieber tried it.
After last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, I am now convinced that Christoph Waltz is the cutest thing ever. It’s always a question when a host is revealed to be a dramatic actor but I thought, given the writing that’s been on a bit of a decline this season, he did a great job. There were little moments here and there that jumped out at me and made me laugh out loud. Some sketches were of course, better and funnier than others so we’ve picked out our favorites of the night.

Regine:
I don’t know why people complain about this sketch. It’s very simple in why it’s funny. Fred Armisen makes an ugly woman. And when he flashes his junk at his cast members to the point that Bill Hader is white knuckling a glass of wine to keep his laughter down, you know it’s a good one. And also, I’d probably react the same way if Christoph Waltz kissed my neck.
Djesus Uncrossed: There’s no question that this skit was the most talked about of the night. Why? Because it was hilarious. I’m going to let the clip speak for itself.
This skit was pretty standard but Christoph popping up as an excitable virgin made Kenan and myself giggle a few times.
By now everyone has heard about the Carnival cruise incident.
