The Stranger Things fandom has been abuzz following the much-hyped series finale, with rumors swirling about “Conformity Gate”—the possibility of a secret final episode that might somehow change or explain the ending of the series, which some fans struggled with.

While the conspiracy ultimately did not come to fruition, a two-hour documentary chronicling the events leading up to the final season was released. Featuring behind-the-scenes moments from the production of the final season after a brutal three-year wait, the documentary gave fans an inside look at the journey the cast, crew, and creatives embarked on leading up to the show’s conclusion.

While it was slow at times in the middle, One Last Adventure showcased the emotions, creative discussions, technical aspects, and cast reflections on their time on the show. If anything, I would have loved even more interviews with the cast…interviews and bloopers are always my favorite behind-the-scenes offerings. The press tours before a new season are always a gold mine for this show.

There were some frustrating reveals in the footage, but overall, One Last Adventure is a welcome addition to the Stranger Things universe and a must-watch for any fan. As fans say goodbye to one of the best series ever created (in my opinion), this Netflix documentary serves as the final piece of the puzzle, ultimately helping fans find closure as they mirror Mike’s final scenes and close the door on this incredible story.
