Could Anne Hathaway be the next A-lister to nab Emmy glory for a guest-starring role on “Glee”? It’s looking at the very least like she might well pop up in the halls of William McKinley High this season, according to Ryan Murphy, one of the show’s creators.
“I’m meeting with Anne in the next couple weeks,” he told MTV News on the red carpet. “We’re not going to do guest stars at all the first half of the season, but I would love to work with her and she supposedly has the whole thing mapped out.”
Indeed she does. Hathaway has long held out hope of . appearing on “Glee,” telling MTV News last fall in hilarious specificity, “I would want to do two duets, one with the young man who plays Kurt. And I’d want to sing a song from ‘Into the Woods.’ “
Murphy has since let his cast know that Hathaway will be guest-starring at some point, but now it seems like it might all go down during the second half of the season. Will Hathaway stick to her original plan? Will Murphy bring his own ideas to their meeting? The “Glee” creator is waiting to find out himself.
“I’m curious as to what she wants to do,” he said. “I love her. I think she’s great.”
