Starring alongside Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer, Bria Danielle Singleton can next be seen starring in Thunder Force. Premiering April 9th, the Netflix superhero comedy combines a great cast with super powers and gives viewers a ride through action packed crime fighting with a dash of girl power.

Bria Danielle Singleton stars as a younger tween version of Octavia Spencer’s character Emily. We spoke with the young actress about what viewers can expect from Thunder Force, her experience filming with the cast and crew, and what else she’s been working on.
Read on for our exclusive interview with Bria Danielle Singleton:
What would you say initially motivated you to pursue acting as a career?
I wouldn’t say anything motivated me because I started acting as a baby. But as I got older, seeing kids on TV motivated me. What’s funny is, when I was really young, I thought going to auditions and being recorded was working.
Was there anyone who influenced or inspired you growing up?
I was inspired by kids on The Disney Channel.
You can next be seen in the Netflix film Thunder Force. Can you talk a little about your character and what attracted you to the role?
Emily is a quiet and super intelligent girl. She has dreams of walking in her parents footsteps.
What do you love most about your character?
What I love about Emily is, even though she’s quiet, she’s confident about being smart.
Would you say you are alike at all?
I would say we are alike in being confident about our intelligence, but our personalities are different. I’m more outgoing than Emily.
What can you tease about what viewers can expect from Thunder Force? What are you most excited for them to see?
I can say that they will get to see Emily and Lydia grow up and become hilarious superheroes. I’m excited for viewers to see the entire movie.
How was the experience working alongside Octavia Spencer and Melissa McCarthy?
Working with Ms. Melissa was amazing. Even though she wasn’t in any of the scenes, she was still on set supporting me and her daughter, Vivian. Unfortunately I didn’t get to meet Ms. Octavia because she was working on another project and our schedules conflicted.
Life has changed a lot in the past year. Can you talk a little about how the acting experience may have changed for you?
Acting has changed a lot. One thing is I have to send in self tapes instead of going in person to auditions. I like going in to audition better because I can get immediate feedback and the energy feels better.
What is your favorite way to pass the time when you are at home social distancing?
My favorite way to pass the time is by binge watching shows, playing online video games with my friends, spending time with my family, and playing with our cats, Hades and Persephone.
What else are you working on? What can fans look out for from you next?
I’m working on my craft by being enrolled in drama at school. I am also auditioning and I know you will see me on something soon.
