“Stronger than lover’s love is lover’s hate.
Incurable, in each, the wounds they make.”
What’s going on with Captain Renard? Will Nick and friends be able to help him?
Prince Kenneth and Juliette cross a line that will destroy a part of Nick’s life.
Read on for our recap of the new Grimm episode, “Headache”.
Nick is about to shoot Monroe, as his hand is controlled by Juliette, but Hank manages to save him before it is too late.
Nick wants to warn Captain Renard about the situation, but apparently someone else answers the phone.
It is the same voice we’ve heard singing after Henrietta was killed. It looks like Renard is in danger, so Nick and Hank go to meet him, and they call Wu while they’re on their way.
They find him in his bedroom, and he says he was sleeping, he has no idea of what it’s going on.
He says that before coming home he visited Henrietta, so he goes with Wu, Hank and Nick to her house, and they find her dead.
The voice who talked with Nick on the phone before mentioned that “we had a rough night”, so Hank and Nick have to figure what that “we” means.
Renard is very upset, and frightened. He tells Nick and Hank that they have to find the killer no matter what it takes.
When Nick asks him why he visited Henrietta, Renard tells him and Hank about his nightmares, the scars bleeding, his blackouts, and the fact that after he wakes up in places he has no idea how he could reach in the first place.
Nick and Hank begin to suspect that Renard might be somehow possessed, and that he is Jack the Ripper.
During the night, Renard wakes up after a nightmare, and we find out that, indeed, he’s being possessed, something really bad is inside of him.
Nick decides to talk to Adalind. He tells her that their plan with Juliette didn’t work out, and then he tells her about Renard. Adalind understands immediately what’s going on. He was dead when he was shot the first time, and his mother brought him back. She says that when that happened, Renard must have brought back something with him. This something is now taking control of his body. Adalind says that the only way to stop the process is to kill Renard.
Nick has an idea, and he needs Rosalee and Monroe’s help. The plan is to use tetrodotoxin, that slows down bodily functions, but it’s very dangerous.
Later, Nick and Hank tell everything about the possession to Renard. He’s shocked, but he agrees to stay home, under surveilance. The first one in charge is Wu.
Rosalee has the tetrodotoxin ready, but they can’t just give it to Renard, because Jack would know too. They have to make it look as if they are really killing Renard, so Jack would be forced to move out from his body.
But in the meantime, Jack takes over Renard’s body and he attacks Wu. He kidnaps him, and uses the patrol car to go to Portralnd, he wants to kill again, other prostitutes. It looks like Jack has the complete control of Renard’s body.
Nick and Hank manage to free Wu and save the prostitute. They arrest Jack/Renard, but Renard can’t remember a single thing of what has just happened.
They bring him to Rosalee’s shop, where they give him something to drink, and they tell him it will help him remember.
When it feels like he’s falling asleep, Jack takes over, and tries to attack Rosalee. Nick, Hank and Wu shoot Jack/Renard. There are not real bullets though, just rubber ones, but they hope Jack will think Renard is dead. And they succeed, Jack is finally out of Renard’s body.
In the meantime, Prince Kenneth and Juliette have set the trap to try to catch Nick’s mother. They are inside Nick’s house.
When Nick comes back home, he finds his bed unmade.
The next night, someone shows up at Nick’s house. Prince Kenneth thinks it might be Kelly, Nick’s mother.
It’s not her though, Kenneth says to Juliette that it was just a kid.
But it is not just a kid, it’s Trubel.
The same night, Kelly arrives in Portland, she calls Juliette, who tells her she’s at home. Kelly has Diana with her.
The trap works. Kenneth’s men take Kelly, and Juliette has now Diana with her.
Trubel goes to warn Nick that something is happening at his house, but when they arrive it’s too late.
Nick finds his mother’s head inside a box.
